Specialist logistics service provider Alliance 21 has always promoted a culture of constant innovation, and its online self-service portal ALEX.world exemplifies its digital transformation to a market leader in logistics innovation, harnessing technology as an enabler and a driver of its growth.
It came as no surprise then that ALEX Fulfilment Services Pte. Ltd. (a fully owned subsidiary of the Alliance 21 Group), has already started its decarbonisation journey for its fleet of vehicles, ushering in a new era of eco-friendly deliveries by partnering EVCo.
“The introduction of the EVs into our operations ushers in a new era in our quest to build a sustainable logistics ecosystem, and demonstrates our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint in our deliveries to protect our future generations.” says @Benjamin ONG, CEO of A21.
The Group aims to achieve full electrification of its fleet and will be working with EVCo to achieve this over a period of one year. In the longer term, it is aiming for net-zero emissions in line with Singapore’s 2030 Green Plan.
The road to decarbonisation is not without its challenges. “The availability of the required infrastructure to support full electrification such as charging points, and the commitment of our partners in the wider industry to work together to achieving sustainable outcomes and to proactively take steps to reduce carbon footprints, are all hurdles that need concerted efforts to overcome.” Benjamin shares.
EVCo is passionate about supporting SMEs like A21 to achieve their sustainability goals with maximum ease, with its full-suite of cost-effective end-to-end Electric-mobility-as-a-Service offerings.
“We chose to partner EVCo as the company is a pioneer in providing electric mobility as a service and we share their ambitions for sustainability and green technology. We are also impressed by their digital infrastructure and data management that supports the running and operation of the electric vehicles.” says Benjamin.
A21 is looking forward to incorporate EVCo’s digitalisation and data offerings into its operations to enhance and improve the Group’s productivity and performance.
